Remote DACA Renewal Clinic

During this free legal clinic, private attorneys from Chicago’s top law firms will join with National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) to complete and file applications for qualified applicants to RENEW their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

As our community continues to face the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is following CDC’s recommendations and the State of Illinois’ shelter in place order and we are taking measures to protect our staff, volunteers, and clients. We will be transitioning to a remote, digital format for this clinic.

After you register below, you will receive an email linking to a questionnaire that lets NIJC confirm that you qualify to renew your DACA and assess your potential eligibility for other immigration benefits. In order to confirm your registration for this clinic, you must complete this questionnaire and follow the email instructions to return it to NIJC by the stated deadline. Once we have reviewed your questionnaire and confirmed your eligibility, we will email you to confirm your registration and send you additional details about the remote format of the clinic. If you do not have an email address, or if you do not receive an email about next steps, please call Soledad Mendoza at 312-660-1683. If you do not check your email and return the questionnaire, we cannot confirm your space in the clinic. Please return your questionnaire as soon as possible and no later than the registration deadline of April 20, 2020.

**Please note: This clinic is only for DACA recipients who currently hold DACA or whose DACA expired within the last year. If you previously had DACA that expired more than one year ago or was terminated at any time, we encourage you to schedule a legal consultation with NIJC to determine whether you may be able to apply for DACA. To schedule a legal consultation with NIJC, please call 312-660-1370 or email
